I was working on the new login page and this is what i ended up but the thing is that this is made in photoshop recreating the same in flex would take a lil time. so what do you think is the login page worth it and is it a good UI?

I’ve just came across a recent blog post of Bruce Eckel (he is the guy who wrote the famous Java book “Thinking in Java”) on Rich Client Technologies.
It is a very good read – not just because he says good things about Flex. It’s a very good read in particular because he is totally right [...]

Make sure you have the newest version of Flex builder (2.0.1), this should fix a lot of problems for you if you’re having them. You can get it here.
